We have owned dairy cows of various breeds since 2006, which have continually provided our community with fresh milk and which we raised using conventional methods. In 2024, we sold our existing herd and acquired a limited number of mostly A2/A2 dairy cows that have been selectively bred for efficiency in forage and which do well in a multi-species rotational grazing setting.
Available
We occasionally have a dairy cow, heifer, or steer available. We currently own a very gentle A2/A2 Registered Dexter bull, so the steer and heifers are 50% Dexter (a dual purpose breed) and 50% Dairy Breeds (many of which include other dual purpose breeds). The steers and heifers are bottle fed and then grass-fed once weaned. As of spring 2025, we do not have any available, but please contact us if you would be interested in dairy cattle or steers in the future.
